Lighting Retrofit
Every company operates a little differently and we seek to get to know our customers and partners and how we can provide the best value. Typically our process starts with a phone call to discuss our services and gather a preliminary set of information. Its very important to understand the lease term of the facility as well as the hours of operation. Once we visit the site we conduct a preliminary survey and gather electric bills for analysis.
After our preliminary analysis, an energy adviser will develop a few concept proposals for consideration. Typically our customers like us to provide a low cost option and a high value option. One of the reasons our customers do business with us is our ability to help educate them about the various technology and implementation options and allow them to decide what will reduce their energy consumption and meet their lighting needs at the greatest value for their view of the present and future.
Once the concept proposals have been vetted, Verity performs an investment grade audit. We scour the facility using video cameras and measure and document light levels, ceiling height, voltages, and fixture types. We then perform a detailed review of our assumptions in the concept proposal and make any adjustments necessary. We then present our findings to our customer and if there is any uncertainty we suggest they visit a site already retrofitted or install a sample to see for themselves.
Verity can provide as much or as little installation support as needed. We typically provide the financing, rebate administration, project management, installation and demolition for all retrofit projects. We understand our customers have limited time and don’t want to become experts in lighting and pride ourselves in our ability to seamlessly integrate new technology in a building that is fully operational.
We strive to identify and specify best in class technology that has been thoroughly tested and vetted. However, in our business, components do sometimes fail because of a variety of reasons. Our goal is to make sure we specify quality technology that is designed for the environment and minimize the opportunity for component failure. In the event of a component failure our customers just send us a quick note and we file all the paperwork to process the warranty claim on behalf of our customers. We also notify our customers when their warranty period is about to expire in the event they forgot or haven’t gotten around to making a claim on the few lamps or ballasts that are out.
